  10.        This release note describes patch SG0000238 to SIRIUS 1.0.2
  11.        and SIRIUS 1.1.

  15.        This patch contains bug fixes for all systems supporting
  16.        Sirius Video.  The software cannot be installed on other
  17.        configurations.

  21.        This patch contains bug fixes for Sirius Video 1.0.2 with
  22.        Irix 5.2 and Sirius Video 1.1 with Irix 5.3 only.  The
  23.        software cannot be installed on other configurations.

  27.        This patch contains fixes for the following bugs in Sirius
  28.        Video 1.0.2 and 1.1. (Bug #253807).  Bug numbers from
  29.        Silicon Graphics bug tracking system are included for
  30.        reference.  These component-timing related problems will
  31.        show up in Sirius Video boards manufactured after November
  32.        1994 and may possibly be present in some earlier boards as
  33.        well.

  35.           +o A one-pixel horizontal shift during memory to video
  36.             transfers.
  37.  
  38.           +o A vertical jumping/ line dropping effect on the video
  39.             output, when the graphics screen is sent to the video
  40.             output in full-screen mode.

  42.           +o The last 7 pixels of each field on the digital video
  43.             output were being blanked.

  74.        Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
  75.        software product.  Follow the instructions in your _I_R_I_S
  76.        _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to bring up the miniroot form of
  77.        the software installation tools.

  79.        Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

  81.          1.  At the Inst>prompt, type

  93.          4.  You may find that two patches have been marked as
  94.              incompatible.  If this occurs, you must deselect one
  95.              of the patches.

  101.          5.  After completing the installation process, exit the
  102.              _i_n_s_t program by typing

  107.        To remove a patch, use the _v_e_r_s_i_o_n_s _r_e_m_o_v_e command as you
  108.        would for any other software subsystem.  The removal process
  109.        reinstates the original version of software unless you have
  110.        specifically removed the patch history from your system.
